Kyle Riabko: The Lead

Kyle Irving is an award-winning feature film, documentary and television producer who oversees the development, production, sales, and distribution of television and film products for Eagle Vision, Meeches Video Productions, Big Blue Films and Century Street Distribution. Since 2002, Kyle has been in a producing capacity on an Academy Award winning film and over one hundred hours of film and television content for the Canadian and International market. Kyle was recently selected as one of Manitoba's "Top 40, Under 40".

Kyle completed production on "Walk All Over Me" in 2007. "Walk All Over Me" was Directed by Robert Cuffley. The film stars two time Golden Globe nominee Leelee Sobieski, Tricia Helfer and Lothaire Bluteau. “Walk All Over Me” had its world premiere at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival. The film sold to The Weinstein Company at the Toronto Festival.

In 2006 Kyle produced "Blue State". Produced by Eagle Vision and Paquin Films, "Blue State" stars Academy Award winner Anna Paquin and is directed by Marshall Lewy. "Blue State" is a romantic comedy about a disgruntled Democrat who actually follows through on a drunken campaign promise to move to Canada if George "Dubya" Bush gets re-elected. It had its world premiere at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. The film recently sold to MGM.

Kyle was an Associate Producer on the feature film "Capote", winner of the 2006 Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA for Best Actor. "Capote" was nominated for five Academy Awards and BAFTA Awards including Best Picture. "Capote" was the winner of three 2006 Independent Spirit Awards, and winner of Best Feature and Breakthrough Director at the 2005 Gotham Awards. "Capote" Features an Oscar winning performance by Philip Seymour Hoffman, an Oscar nominated performance by Catherine Keener, and also features Oscar winner Chris Cooper. "Capote" is distributed by Sony Pictures Classics and MGM/United Artists.

Kyle also produced two ongoing Canadian television series, "The Sharing Circle", in its 16th season and a recent nominee for "Best Documentary Series" at the 2006 Golden Sheaf Awards and "Tipi Tales", in its Third season and the winner of three Parents' Choice Awards.

He has also produced several one-hour, one-off documentaries, including: “The Lead”, "Polygamy's Lost Boys", "The Final Word: The Road to CanSpell", "The Spirit of Norway House", and "Where Three Rivers Meet". He is also the Producer of the music and variety specials "WeJoggin'06", “WeJoggin’07”, "Celebrate" and "The Aboriginal People's Choice Music Awards 2006, 2007 and 2008".

In 2004 Kyle joined the board of the Manitoba Motion Picture Industry Association and sits on the Manitoba Tax Credit Advisory Committee. Prior to joining the group of companies, Kyle was an independent producer, director, and production manager. Some of his more notable programming includes: Canadian Idol season 1 and 2, Toy Castle season 3, the 2002 Winter Olympics, the World Track and Field Championships, the Manitoba Men's Provincial Curling Championships, the 1999 Pan American Games, and several Canadian Football League Grey Cup Games.
